The Power of Meditation

By now I’m sure you are well aware that another one of my absolute non-negotiables in my daily routine is meditation. Just like journaling, meditation helps me clear my mind, get aligned and truly is a form of therapy for me. 

I often get questions about how I do it, how to get started & what benefits I have seen. I know meditation can be a hard practice to get into and people often find it too hard to sit still and clear their mind, but I know how amazing the impacts can be, so I want to help you on your journey. 

First of all, there are a lot of different ways to meditate and there are a lot of different forms. You may need to do some trials on what suits you best and try a few different types before you find the style you enjoy.  

Personally I find it super helpful to have guided meditations and I personally use ‘mantra’ meditation which I was taught the Minspo method through my good friend, Rochelle Fox, who we had on the podcast on ep #69. (Rochelle was lovely enough to give the R&C community a discount to the mindspo method - use 'RISEANDMEDITATE' for 20% off Mindspo), Other forms of meditation I enjoy are simple guided meditations on Spotify or apps like Bloom

So now you know some guided meditations, I want you to know my top tips to get the most out of your meditation practice (you know I’m all about the actionable tips): 

  1. I want you to sit in a calm place, maybe with some crystals, maybe sage the room. Sit in a comfortable position and know that it’s safe to be there, you don’t need to be anywhere else. 
  2. Whether it's 5 minutes or 30 minutes - this is for you. Let go of what you think you ‘should’ be doing and really be present in the moment. 
  3. Whether you listen to a guided meditation, have some calming music or just sit in the calmness of silence - it’s your time to sit with yourself & relax.
  4. Please remember it may feel uncomfortable at first, it can take some time to get used to, so keep going GF, you will get there! 

So now you know how, what is the why?

Meditation is proven to help reduce stress, increase concentration & focus, improve self-esteem & self-awareness and helps foster kindness. 

I find when I meditate I am so much calmer, clearer and more focused. 

Meditation has become such a big part of my routine and of course helps me get clear on what I want and then manifest my wildest desires.
