Hey my loves,

Do you struggle with starting fresh? Have you ever stayed in a job that isn’t ideal because you feel like it’s maybe too late to change careers?

This is a theme I’ve seen coming up a lot lately and it boils down to one thing - being able to embrace change.

If you can’t embrace change and adapt when conditions change - it means that you are STOPPING your evolution. You can never progress if you don’t evolve and you can’t evolve if you don’t embrace change.

So I thought I’d share some of my tips when it comes to being able to learn how to embrace change more openly:

  • Develop a Growth Mindset: Embracing change starts with having a growth mindset, which means seeing challenges and new situations as opportunities for learning and growth. Believe in your ability to adapt and view change as a chance to develop new skills and expand yourself.
  • Stay Flexible: Be open to different perspectives and approaches. Avoid rigid thinking and be willing to consider alternative solutions. Being flexible allows you to adapt your plans and strategies when faced with unexpected changes, helping you navigate through uncertainty more effectively.
  • Embrace Discomfort: Change often involves stepping out of your comfort zone. Embrace the discomfort that comes with new experiences and see it as a sign of your evolution. Push yourself to try new things and challenge old habits or beliefs, as this will enhance your adaptability in the face of change.
  • Focus on strengthening your inner power, maintaining a healthy work-life balance, and having supportive relationships. Taking care of your mental and physical well-being will help you navigate through change with greater ease.

If you’re someone who currently struggles with change or starting over don’t be too hard on yourself. This is definitely a skill you can learn - it is a skill I personally had to learn.

Once you’ve locked into your internal and stopped worrying about the external, it is so much easier to navigate these times of change. We had a great chat about this on the podcast so if you want to hear more about it you can have a listen here.

Here are some journal prompts to help you embrace change:

  • What change has happened?
  • What emotion am I feeling?
  • Do I have control over this change/situation?
  • What do I wish to change?
  • How am I reacting to this change?
  • What is the best possible outcome of this change?
  • How can I embrace and embody that?
  • What blessing will this change bring me?

Remember, “Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.” - George Bernard Shaw.

Love always,

G xx
